Design for Six Sigma or DFSS is about learning how to make a new product
or service that is defect free. A number of the tools and methods used for
the Six Sigma DMAIC process are applicable to developing new to the world
product and services.
SixSigma.us has a number of resources that have extensive experi-
ence applying and teaching DFSS methods to developing products for nu-
merous companies like 3M, Intel, HP, Seagate, Lexmark, Kodak, TI and nu-
merous others.
SixSigma.us has developed both a 5 day program for previously trained
Black Belts and a ten day program for product developers not experienced
in the Six Sigma process. In addition to these courses SixSigma.us has de-
veloped specialty courses for the development of new test methods and
advanced design experiments including designs of experiments for creating
new formulations of mixtures.
